Oysters from northern Brittany - Lilia Archipelago
12 Brittany Oysters - Legris
Oysters at the very end of “Finistère”, literally “the end of the world” in Breton.
The excellence of oysters with the multiple award-winning Maison Legris, the Lilia archipelago, an aber, an entrance from the sea into the land forming an extraordinary archipelago, where exceptional, non-milky oysters grow all year round .
After 3 to 5 years, our oysters reach their consumable size with a weight between 70g and 120g. They are then calibrated, passed into basins and packaged in baskets very close to the Virgin Island lighthouse, to finally be distributed throughout France. Legris oysters are a reflection of the Lilia terroir and the know-how from which they are the fruit.
Being cultivated 100% at Aber Wrac'h from spat, our oysters are characterized by their iodized taste with notes of chestnut. The purity of the water and the environment gives the flesh a coat bordering on deep black while the mother-of-pearl of the shell is dazzling white. The 3 years of work will have made it possible to give the oyster a generous amount of flesh and the shell its very regular and deep shape, as well as its solidity and its tightness allowing optimal conservation in baskets.
For Oysters and only for oysters, give the store a quick call to be really sure of their availability, because it is a product subject to the vagaries of boats.
To be enjoyed with a Picpoul de Pinet, the muscadet of the south-east! Or a Chablis, or even a Sancerre, or a Corsican white wine "le J" or l'Oriu available in store and on the site.
