Coming from the Malabar Coast in India, more precisely from the port city of Thalassary (Tellicherry in English), it is one of the oldest and most renowned pepper species in the world.

Profile Characterized by fairly large grains, this is a delicate black pepper, quite mild on the nose and subtly woody. On the palate, Tellicherry black pepper surprises with its spiciness and very long-lasting warm notes.

Use To be consumed without moderation, this is a pepper that will seduce any gourmet who can't help but add a turn of the mill to their dishes between each bite. Like any quality pepper, Tellicherry black pepper is intended to be used daily in your kitchen to season all your dishes without exception. A truly fiery and versatile pepper.

DID YOU KNOW?

Tellicherry is the Anglicism of Thalassery, a port city on the Malabar Coast in southern India and nicknamed the “spice coast.” It is the birthplace of pepper, where the first variety, the ancestor of all other peppers, appeared. As early as 1708, English colonists built a defensive fort there to control the trade in spices, especially pepper.
